Esteemed Star Pat Finn, Recognized For Roles in Friends and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
US actor Pat Finn, who was seen in beloved programs like Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at 60 years old.
The comedy and improvisation performer succumbed at his home in LA recently after undergoing treatment for a cancer diagnosis from 2022 onward, per media reports.
"He considered no one a stranger - solely future friends he didn't know yet," his family stated in a statement.
They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with joy and exuberance".
A Notable Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he portrayed the lead character's sibling.
He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.
He played the part of a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, depicting a social organizer who would assign burdensome jobs to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he made guest appearances on numerous popular shows, like:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
Finn was perhaps best known for portraying Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His cinematic roles include It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups.
Beyond the Screen
Beyond his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was a member of a comedy group of six named "Beer Shark Mice".
"Finn coached, befriended and mentored countless students over the years and it's nearly impossible to find a person anywhere who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.
Offering condolences, colleague and actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Perpetually optimistic, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is leaves behind his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
